Forest Home Media is co-hosting a viewing party for TLC’s Trading Spaces reboot this Saturday, April 7 with Nashville Interiors magazine at the beautiful Novel Music Row. If you are a home lifestyle blogger or social media influencer, contact us at pr@foresthomemedia.com to join us Saturday or our Facebook group – the Nashville Influencers.
Trading Spaces originally aired in 2000 and quickly become an epic television show where two sets of neighbors swapped homes and with the help of designers and carpenters designed a room on a budget of $1,000 in two days!
The show is back with the same premise but double the budget says new cast member John Gidding. Gidding was in Nashville as headliner for last September’s Home Show, with PR for the event coordinated by FHM. Gidding shared the good news he would be joining the cast!
You’ll remember Gidding as popular host and designer of HGTV’s Curb Appeal. He’s a design expert who, with his experience in residential, commercial and landscape architecture as well as urban and graphic design, transforms average homes into sculptural showpieces.
Born and raised in Istanbul to a Turkish mother and an American father, Gidding incorporates his multicultural aesthetic into his architectural projects. At the age of 15, he moved to Switzerland for boarding school, where he dedicated himself to a two-year intensive art program, graduating with an International Baccalaureate degree.
John moved to the States to go to Yale earning an undergrad degree and then received his masters in architecture from Harvard.
