There have been over 300 changes in Google this year alone and tomorrow at 9:30 a.m. (CDT) there’s a free webinar for folks attending the October 17 Southern C Summit hosted by Southern Coterie, the social network of the South. I’m very excited it’s on my calendar and look at the very bottom for a special discount on your registration.
First, here’s a little more info on The Southern Coterie. After two successful and inspiring trips to Jekyll Island in the inaugural Southern Coterie Summit and the first installment of the Summit Series in Athens, GA, founders, Whitney Long and Cheri Leavy, are bringing their talents to Nashville on October 17th. The day ends with cocktails and conversations with one of my media heroes, Southern Living Editor Lindsay Bierman, at the nation’s only 2012 Southern Living Idea House at Fontanel now open for tour Wednesday – Sunday, and built by FHM client, Castle Homes.
Long & Leavy are inviting Southern creatives and small Southern brands for the learning and networking opportunity at this niche gathering. Innovation and inspiration will be cultivated at Ruby Nashville, a converted 1945 Primitive Baptist Church on the edge of Hillsboro Village, where a day full of educational sessions, panel discussions and keynote presentations from well-known southern names and social media leaders will take place. More on that day is at the bottom with that registration discount code.
So tomorrow’s webinar has me all a-fascinated and I WILL need to know how Dohrn earned an Emmy! (Please let it involve tap dancing, please!)
Dohrn, an award-winning internet consultant, nationally acclaimed speaker, Emmy winner!, author, TV producer and internet pioneer, will be detailing what Google expects and looks for when they crawl your website to determine your page rank. From content, to popularity, to relevancy, to keywords, to back links, explore in detail what you will need to do to be a Google success without sacrificing your editorial integrity. Plus, some key word research live will be demonstrated and Dohrn will dig in to show you how to perform your own research after the webinar.
Here’s a little more bio on him:
Dohrn has been featured in USA Today, ABC, CBS, on Forbes.com and has made over 700 TV appearances and trained over 3,000 people around the globe. As the former General Manager of Morris Magazines Interactive, Ryan created and managed the Internet strategies for 12 magazine web properties, one of which was top 500 consumer magazine Western Horseman.
