Sloan Valley Farms Launch – Estate Home Community

October 5, 2020 By Nancy McNulty Leave a Comment

In a year when so many things have been cancelled or postponed, Forest Home Media has been thrilled to support our very busy home industry clients including the Baird Graham Company’s launch of Sloan Valley Farms in beautiful Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee.

BGC has made a name for itself in building stunning homes throughout the Nashville and Franklin area.  Forest Home Media assisted in the company’s website relaunch, reactivating Instagram and the announcement of the new estate home community including a video overview.  Here’s more on the exciting new community.

Launch of $27 Million, Leiper’s Fork Estate Home Community

FRANKLIN, Tenn.—-(September 23, 2020) Weaving a community of fine homes in a historic Tennessee hamlet, developer and builder Baird Graham has broken ground on the estate home neighborhood, Sloan Valley Farms, located in Leiper’s Fork outside of Nashville.

An homage to the original owners, the George Sloan family of Steeplechase fame, Sloan Valley Farms, off Carl Road, is comprised of nine home sites surrounded by multiple acres and created in collaboration with notable Southeastern architects and interior designers said Graham.

“Sloan Valley Farms is the culmination of a dream to create a community of well-crafted homes with distinct architectural styles surrounded by the privacy and beauty of the Middle Tennessee hills,” Graham said.  “The site prep for the neighborhood has been completed and we are pleased to release renderings and details on the first four homes.”

Graham is collaborating on the first four homes with top Southeastern architects including:  Catherine Sloan, Catherine Sloan Architect, Nashville, Jeffrey Dungan, Jeffrey Dungan Architects, of Mountain Brook, Alabama, and Chris Reebals, Christopher Architecture & Interiors, of Birmingham, Alabama. Sloan is creating two of the first four homes.  He is also working with talented interior designers Rachel Halvorson, Rachel Halvorson Designs, Lauren Moore, Modern Remains, and Joanna Goodman, Christopher Architecture & Interiors.

“The land the homes will be built on is spectacular and our team is bringing a depth and architectural beauty to each home with a caliber of excellence and uniqueness, setting Sloan Valley Farm into a league of its own,” Graham said.

Sloan Valley Farms overlooks 80 acres of protected wetlands and is adjacent to Murphy Fork Creek.  Graham said the homes are each surrounded by acreage ranging from six to fifteen acres depending on the home site – all with incomparable views, beginning at just over $3 million.  The neighborhood Realtor of record, Kellen Moore, Helton Real Estate Group, said the project represents an over $27 million investment in the area.

“The Nashville area has not seen anything like Sloan Valley Farms in years and it is an unparalleled opportunity to have an incredible home in a stunning neighborhood while being a few miles from Leiper’s Fork, historic downtown Franklin and within five miles of Interstate 840,” Moore said. “Baird is an incredible builder and his passion and sincerity make each of his homes unique.  Partnering with top architects and interior designers make Sloan Valley Farms a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

The design continuity of the neighborhood will be English Country with Southern accents helping it weave into the Leiper’s Fork architectural landscape using a variety of materials including stone, cedar shake and slate roofs.

“The home sites provide options to overlook a pasture or be wrapped by hills as well as two homes situated on a bluff.  This is an extraordinary opportunity for peace, privacy and a slice of paradise within a quick ride to Leiper’s Fork, historic downtown Franklin and the interstate,” Graham said.

For more information on the future Sloan Valley Farms homes, contact Moore at 615-948-0376 and visit www.bgc-construction.com to learn more about the neighborhood and home sites.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—(May 31, 2019) The Fountains of Musica Foundation announced in a news conference the naming of the iconic Music Row sculpture, a community-wide fundraising campaign launch and construction plans for the three-fountain, Music Row project. The inclusive campaign engages community-wide support to complete the projected $12 million project, which will provide an official entry to historic Music Row as well as inspiration and city pride.

Fountains, designed by WET, will be transforming the Music Row sculpture, "Musica." Rendering, by WET.
Fountains, designed by WET, will be transforming the Music Row sculpture, “Musica.” Rendering, by WET.

The Fountains of Musica Foundation was created to complete the original, privately funded commission of sculptor Alan LeQuire’s work, “Musica,” installed in 2003. Located on city property, the approved plan included a sculpture surrounded by dynamic waters, inspired by fountains seen in major cities throughout the world, said foundation chairman, Desmond Child, Grammy-winning producerand Songwriters Hall Of Fame Inductee.

Today, Child announced the fountains exciting new name, “The Boudleaux and Felice Bryant Fountains of Musica,” honoring Nashville’s first professional songwriters.

“This is a momentous day for Nashville and the music community as we honor Nashville’s first professional songwriters with a work of art, ‘The Boudleaux and Felice Bryant Fountains of Musica,’ which will no doubt become the iconic symbol of our city.  With hit songs cut and performed live by everyone from Little Jimmy Dickens, The Everly Brothers, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, the Beatles and Roy Orbison to Eddie Vedder, Norah Jones, Brothers Osborne and Phish.”

The couple also penned the beloved anthem ‘Rocky Top.’ It is a perfect union with ‘Musica.’ which honors the diversity of Nashville’s musical genres and its people,” Child said.

Del Bryant, of Franklin and son of Boudleaux and Felice Bryant and former Broadcast Music, Inc. President/CEO, reflected on the fountains honoring his parents.

“Carolyn, Thaddeus and I feel very blessed that my folks will represent all songwriters that have made Nashville the creative wellspring it is today. It is our honor to help bring to life a beautiful installation at the top of Music Row which we hope will be as inspirational as Music Row itself,” Bryant said.

“Musica” is considered to be the largest bronze figure group in the United States and the foundation previously unveiled the three fountains design in partnership with world-renown Water Entertainment Technologies (WET), a Southern California-based, award-winning design and engineering firm. A WET video animation and rendering detail the central fountain surrounding “Musica,” filling the inner ring of the Buddy Killen Circle where there is now grass. This will remain a roundabout for city traffic.

A second fountain, flush with the ground, will be in the adjacent Owen Bradley Park. This fountain, floating over the surface, will be a soft mist with jewels of water appearing and disappearing designed to be viewed and not interactive. This portion of the project will include a quiet seating area, and this fountain can be turned off accommodating community activities. The third feature will be cascading waters in the median of Division Street, near 17th Avenue South, announcing the magic ahead when “Musica” is approached from the west.

During the news conference, community commitments were also announced by businessman Ron Samuels and entrepreneur Darren Metz, each pledging to raise $1 million.  The cascading waters fountain in the median of Division will be named the Fountain of Entrepreneurial Creativity.

With these commitments, foundation president Andrée LeQuire also announced the launch of a community campaign of $2 million to engage support big and small.

“We are thrilled to have the involvement of our dear friends the Bryants, Ron Samuels and Darren Metz.  And to further represent the true spirit of ‘Musica,’we want to engage our entire community. These fountains will help unite and draw us together in public spaces to celebrate, reflect, connect and inspire,” LeQuire said. “Without everyone, this fountain, this vision is incomplete. So join us and be a part of something bigger than us all.”

Of the money being raised from the private sector, LeQuire said the goal for the community campaign is $2 million by December 2019 allowing the project to stay on schedule, flipping the switch for the fountains in November 2020.

LeQuire said due to its location on city property, this is public private partnership is important to complete the fountains as originally planned in 2003.

“As previously stated by city officials, we will be closely coordinating construction to minimize any inconvenience to Nashvillians while making necessary improvements to the Roundabout,” said LeQuire. “The timing of completing ‘Musica’ and these improvements is perfect.”

An exciting element of this campaign is the creative partnership with the local advertising agency, bohan, who has created a rebranding, advertising campaign and new website for the “Fountains of Musica.”

“The ‘Fountains of Musica’ represent the completion of Alan LeQuire’s original masterpiece, a milestone artistic celebration of Nashville’s creativity, diversity and unity,” said bohan founder and chairman David Bohan. “Bohan’s involvement underscores our belief that all three are significant and important to the future growth of our great city.”

Country Music artist Rodney Atkins lent his time and talent in support of the project at the news conference. Drake Milligan, a rising star with BBR, Sony/ATV, CAA, BMI, BIG DREAMS ENTERTAINMENT/DESTON ENTERTAINMENT, performed along with Cooper Alan hit The Everly Brothers songs written by Boudleaux and Felice Bryant and ended with “Rocky Top.”

Visit FountainsOfMusica.org for more information on history and the donation process. Project engineers are Gresham Smith and general contractor is Outside The Lines, OTL.
